Wonderful Evening Had Celebrating Volunteers!

Last night we celebrated our WONDERFUL volunteers and thirty-six years of The Work of Our Hands!
Thank you, Miguel and Rosa of Gonzales Tacos, for our delicious street tacos. We were blessed to have you cater our event.
Anna got us excited as she shared new products that are at WOOH now.
Amanda gave us a glimpse of how world dynamics are impacting our artisans and farmers. She also shared the hope that was felt at the Fair Trade Conference to endure and the commitment to long term relationships with them. She then walked us through one of her school demonstrations. Using Oreos, she showed us the struggles people face based on where they live. She talked through different scenarios the seventh graders she's presented to have discussed and evaluated. It was POWERFUL and eye opening.
Anna Allen was presented with the Elephant Award for her invaluable impact this year. Her passion for retail, fair trade, and people have grown our little store tremendously during the past 5 1/2 years she has served as our assistant manager. We are thankful for her sweetness, determination, fresh ideas, and energy. And the beautiful displays... Gorgeous!
The Work of Our Hands couldn't function without our volunteers. We are SO very thankful for each one and their willingness to share their time and energy, their individual giftings and passions with us.
