The hands that made it: Roger and Santodio are artisans local to Chulcanas, Peru, a town famous for the pottery made by its residents. They both began working with clay at a young age while observing their elders create the pottery that game fame to the city. Today, these artisans represent two generations that are supporting this culturally representative art, which features a striking use of negative space and a unique firing process that gives these collectibles their mequite smell. When you support their artwork, you support their families, and their culture as they seek to train other young artists.
