• Since this item shows the natural colors of the stone, some color variations should be expected. One can often see shades of cream, gray, pink, and brown in the design.
• Has gone through multiple stages of sanding and waxing, giving it a satiny finish
• 2 and 1/2 inches by 1 and 3/4 inches. Exact size may vary slightly

Hand carved from a single piece of Kisii soapstone, found only southwestern Kenya. Mining the soapstone is a labor-intensive process. Laborers work with shovels, picks, axes and machetes to carve out large soapstone chunks, which are then shaped into beautiful art.
